“In reflection, I saw that I was actually quite intentional with my time during the first half of the year. Then everything went off the rails around June. I can see where I'm wasting time and where I'd rather be spending it, for sure. My first action is going to be putting my phone away between 6pm-9pm every night. It is an evil distraction and time waster!!! This will help me focus on the loves of my life, which is where I want to be focused. I also jotted down some other great action steps I plan to work in. I started Kaelyn’s Stop and Reflect series last December thinking I had accomplished very little in the year and wanted to do more the next year. I was feeling discouraged about where I was personally and professionally. As it turned out, my favorite part of the series was looking back over the year and discovering all the accomplishments and joy that I had forgotten about; not matter how small. It gave me encouragement for the next year to focus on those things more and introduce new things. I was more intentional with my time and more diligent on writing down these memories in the following year; just so I could look back at them again next year. 2017 brought me more joy, intentionality and reflection throughout the year. Even if I didn’t exactly hit the mark for all my categories I feel uplifted knowing that I focused on the things that were important to me this year. I’m looking forward to going through the process for 2018!
